Main Stage

Second Stage

Matrix Productions were contracted to provide the main stage and sound for both the main stage and the second stage at Tiverton College's Parklife 2006. We took the opportunity to use a traditional analogue based system on the main stage, with the tradtional multicore and FOH mix position. On the Second stage, we opted to try out some new technology which negated the need to run in a multicore. A Yamaha 01v96 was used on stage, connected to a Sony Vaio laptop running Studio Manager. This was then connected to a Linksys WAP (Wireless Access Point). A second Vaio laptop was used in the FOH position (and anywhere else in the field you wanted to go!) and VNC was used to remote control the on stage Vaio, and therefore the 01v96. It worked flawlessly and is a good solution in environments where a multicore cannot be run to an out front position. Email us for more details if you want to know more!

The audio system provided for the main stage was 10k Nexo Alpha-E FOH system. Turbosound TXD-12mx and EAW LA212 Monitors, FOH and monitors were controlled from FOH from an Allen & Heath GL4800. xta GQ600 Graphic EQ's, Drawmer DS201 gates and dbx 166XL compressors were used. The second stage utilised a 5k Nexo Alpha-E FOH system, Turbosound TXD-12mx and RPA wedges. Control was a Yamaha 01v96 with wireless control.

There was no lighting system utilised as the event was only run in the daylight hours..
